Who we are
This menu builder is run by The Coriander Club, Calcot, Reading. We decide how your details are used, which makes us the controller under UK data protection law. You can contact us at hello@thecorianderclub.co.uk.
What we collect
When you send a request or an order we collect the details you type in: your name, email address and phone number, your company name if you are ordering for an office, the venue or office address, your date, guest numbers, dietary needs, anything you add in the notes box, and the dishes you chose with the quote shown to you.
Why we use it
We use these details only to reply to your enquiry, prepare and confirm your menu and quote, and arrange your event or order. We do this because you asked us to, and you confirm you are happy for us to contact you by ticking the box before you send.
Dietary needs and allergies can reveal information about your health. We use them only to plan your menu safely, and we rely on your consent for that, which you give by sending the request. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
Who sees it
- The Coriander Club team.
- Our website and form hosting provider, Netlify, which stores your request and passes it to us. It acts on our instructions.
- Stripe, our payment provider, when you pay online (see Payments below).
- Google Maps, if you search for or pin your venue. The address you type is sent to Google to show the map and suggestions.
- postcodes.io, a free UK postcode service. For office delivery we send it your postcode to check that we deliver to your area.
We do not sell your details and we do not use them for advertising.
Payments
After you send your request you pay online. Weddings and events pay a deposit to hold the date, and office delivery orders are paid in full. Payments are handled by Stripe on its own secure page. We never see or store your card number. Stripe gives us your name, email address, the amount paid and the payment reference so we can match the payment to your order. Stripe uses your details under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for 12 months after your event date or last contact, then delete them. Records we are legally required to keep, such as payment and invoice records, are kept for as long as the law says, which is usually 6 years.

Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, delete them, or object to how we use them, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Contact us at hello@thecorianderclub.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your details you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
